Shri Shivananda Bhat (Pandit ji) (Head Priest)

Pandit (priest) Shivanand Bhat is residing in North Carolina; Morrisville, U.S.A. Pandit Shivanand Bhat has decades of experience in conducting various religious functions. He has earned a very good reputation in Bangalore, India, as Vedic priest with deep knowledge of the Vedic rituals. His hard work and dedication has brought him to the U.S. and Now His services are available to the Hindu society in North Carolina in North and South India traditions. He can drive to your House/event venue Raleigh, Morrisville, Cary, Apex and Chapel Hill area as well as outside of RTP.

Education

Pandit Shivanand Bhat had a predilection towards Vedic teachings from his childhood and joined Shri Shringeri Sharada Mutt, one of the prestigious Institutions in the state of Karnataka for Vedic learning, in his early childhood. He received an in-depth inculcation in the Vedic subjects such as Krishna Yajurveda, Karma kaanda, also he has studied Vidvat in Sanskrit. He is well versed in various languages such as English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil.

Temple Policy

  • There shall be no set fee for archana or Abhishekam at the Temple, any monetary contribution for religious event is purely a donation to the Temple and is totally voluntary.
  • Strict Adherence to all religious ceremonies. Abhishekam (religious bathing) is performed in the morning, every day.
  • After taking bath, same day cooked (without onion and garlic) food shall be offered to the Lord. Devotees who wish to bring prasaadam from their home shall follow the same rule.
  • Temple Timings -The Temple shall be open to all from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM and from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM during the weekdays and from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM during weekends and on special days. There shall be an Abhijit Viramam (Temple closed) from 12:00 PM – 03:30 PM during weekends and special days.
  • Vahana (Vehicle) Pooja – Devotees should assemble at least 30 minutes before for Vahana Pooja to be performed. Vahana Pooja shall not be performed during extremely cold conditions, snow, rain due to unfavorable external weather.
  • There shall be Annadaanam (Free food) in the Temple, Devotees may offer donation for Annadaanam to the Temple or offer materials for Special food.
  • Dress Code: All Devotees are requested to appropriately dress for their visit. Traditional/Cultural attire is highly encouraged! Short, revealing, knee-high attire (for adults) are strictly discouraged. Any visitor to the Temple must adhere to the Temple policies at all times while at the Temple premises.
